                                   骄傲的孔雀
  孔雀很美丽,可是很骄傲.他只要看到谁长的漂亮,就抖动羽毛,展开尾巴,炫耀自己的美丽.有一天,孔雀昂着头,挺着胸,拖着美丽的尾巴,沿着湖边散步.树上的花喜鹊很有礼貌地向他问好,他理也不理.

   忽然,孔雀发现湖里有一只鸟,跟他一模一样,也十分漂亮.他立刻停住脚步,展开尾巴.美丽的尾巴抖动着,向一巴五彩洒金的大扇子.谁只湖里的那只鸟也停住脚步,展开尾巴.美丽的尾巴抖动着,向一巴五彩洒金的大扇子.

   骄傲的孔雀有点生气了,他睁大圆圆的眼睛,抖了抖头上的翎毛.湖里的那只鸟也睁大圆圆的眼睛,抖了抖头上的翎毛. 骄傲的孔雀可生气了,他昂这头,挺着胸,向前面了一大步,没向到一下子掉进湖里了.

    孔雀不会游泳,他在湖里挣扎了半天,好不容易抓住树根,爬上岸来.他回头朝湖里看看,这回可高兴了.湖里的那只鸟,浑身湿淋淋的,还在发抖呢.

    树上的花喜鹊笑起来了.孔雀看了花喜鹊一眼,不高向的说:"丑喜鹊,你小什么!"花喜鹊拍拍翅膀,说:"骄傲的孔雀,湖里的那只鸟就是你自己的影子啊!你骄傲的连自己也不认是了!"

                          The Show-Off Pecook
  The pecook is very pretty ,but he was a show-off. When he sees someone pretty,he will flap his wings a few times, then, open his tail, showing of his beauty.

  One day, the peecook held his head up, straightend his back, and carried his long, and beautiful tail on the ground. He was taking a walk next to the pond. On one of the trees sat a magpie, the magpie was very polite, and gave greetings, the peecoock didn't even look at him.

   Suddenly, the pecook discovered that there was a bird in the pond,and it was so very beautiful. He stopped his steps right away. He flapped his wings a few times, opened his beautiful tail, and carefully moved his beautiful tail back and forth.

   To the pecook's suprise the bird in the water did the same thing! The peecock was a bit mad, he opened his big round eyes, and moved the feather on it's head a few times.And again the bird did the same. Now he was mad. He straightened his back, and took a big step forward, but fell in the river.

   The pecook did not know how to swim, but got hold of a log.When he got to land, he starred in the pond again. There was the bird all wet and was satisfied. The magpie laughed. The pecook was mad and said, "Dumb magpie, you laugh at me!" The magpie said, "You were such a show-off you didn't even reconize yourself!"
