Immediate Accounts Payable opening in high volume department at dynamic engineering/construction company located in Richmond.

Position Description:
Responsible for all Accounts Payable functions including processing invoices, weekly check runs and annual 1099 reporting. Requires strong organizational, communication and problem solving skills. Must be able to succeed in a fast paced environment.

Daily Accounts Payable task include, but are not limited to:
• Match up to 400 invoices per week with purchase orders and receiving documents, verifying quantity, unit of measure, unit price and shipping instructions.
• Processes, codes and routes all invoices and vendor credits in accordance with company policies and internal controls. Resolves issues with problem invoices and/or vendors timely.
• Review invoices for sale tax.
• Job costing including making invoice copies for billing and identifying cost for jobs received late to billing staff.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly and yearly close process.
• Maintain vendor relationships in accordance with payment terms.
• Recommend and implement ongoing process improvements
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Understanding of accounting principles, including debits/credits, standard account reconciliations and journal entries.

Skills and Qualifications:
Five to ten years of experience as an Accounts Payable Supervisor is required. Minimum of four-year college degree and experience with multi-sate sales tax is preferred. Also must be proficient in Excel and Word. Competitive pay, excellent benefits and profit sharing plan.
